Please try to restore the hat to its original shape. Slight bending can be completely restored with simple ironing.

Here's a simple tip for restoring it to its original shape.
•Use steam from a steamer. Gently steam the misshapen areas of the hat to soften the fibres, and then…
•Shape it by hand: once the hat has softened, gently reshape it by hand.
•Leave to dry: lay the hat flat so that it keeps its new shape as it dries.

Material-Specific Care Tips

SINAMAY HATS & HEADPIECES

  Sinamay is a beautiful natural fiber that is professionally stiffened during shaping. Because water breaks down this stiffening agent, moisture can cause your hat to lose its form.

• Handling: Always lift your hat using two clean, dry hands by the edge of the brim. Avoid picking it up by the crown.

• Reshaping Dents: If your hat gets dented, gently steam the area over a household kettle. Once the sinamay softens, carefully push the dent out with your fingers and allow it to dry naturally.

• Refreshing Trims: Hold sad-looking feathers, silk flowers, or delicate trims over kettle steam to instantly revive their shape and volume.

• Storage: Store in a hat box to protect it from dust and shield it from direct sunlight, which can bleach the fibers.

WOOL & FELT HATS

  Felt hats are classic and durable, but they require delicate care to maintain their rich texture and shape. 

• Handling:  Make sure you hands are relatively clean when handling you hat. a least of grease.Hold the brim of your hat not the crown when removing it from your head to maintain shape of the crown.

• Removing Dust: Use steam from a kettle alongside a hard-bristle hat brush. Brush using short, gentle strokes, always following the natural direction of the felt fibers.

• Handling Wet Felt: Dab excess water gently with a clean, absorbent cloth or towel. Never place a felt hat on or near a radiator—extreme heat will shrink the fibers and alter its fit.

• Storage: Keep stored in a hat box away from direct sunlight.

STRAW & PANAMA HATS

  Natural straw hats—especially fine-weaved or glazed varieties—are delicate and susceptible to cracking if mismanaged.

• Cleaning: Gently brush off loose dirty with a soft brush.Wipe down with a slightly damp cloth for minor stains. For tougher spots, use a cloth dampened with warm water and mild soap. Wipe away soap residue with a clean damp cloth, dab excess moisture with a towel, and air dry. (Never soak your straw hat in water.)

• Handling with Care: Avoid grabbing Panama or straw hats by the pinch of the crown. Doing so puts stress on the fibers, leading to distortion, cracks, or holes. Always handle by the brim.

• Drying & Reshaping: If soaked, dry quickly with a cloth, turn the brim up, and let it air dry naturally. Use gentle steam to reshape if needed.
